Trammel Hoehn is the newest principal at JohnsonPossKirby, joining Nathan Poss, Holly Kirby and Luke Ashley on the leadership team in January 2024.  

Prior to joining JPK in August 2022, Trammel served as a senior government relations advisor at Butler Snow, where he leveraged strategic procurement to create open channels of communication with top decision-makers and lobbied a variety of issues, including telecommunications, insurance and health care. 

Before moving into the private sector, Trammel worked in Bill Haslam’s gubernatorial administration as a key legislative liaison for the Department of Finance and Administration. In that capacity, he worked on the state’s budget process, information systems and insurance plans, and served as a vital link to the General Assembly on several topline legislative priorities.  

Trammel is an alumnus of the University of Tennessee, from which he graduated magna cum laude, and of the University of Memphis, where he earned his law degree. He has been listed among Ones to Watch in government relations practice by Best Lawyers in America^®. 

When he’s not attending his children’s sporting events or watching a Vols game, you’re likely to find the Brentwood native out running, biking or on the golf course.
